Lessons on Gratitude and Magic Houses!

Well this week was one of the most amazing weeks i have ever had in the mission. It was filled with many amazing experiences. But here is 1!
We were walking around trying to find some members the other day and we ended up talking to this lady and she let us in and we entered her house... well it was more like a shack, but we walked into her house there was food everywhere on the floor the beds were covered in spider webs, and old clothes, there was barely a roof and she had 3 kids that were running around barefoot in the freezing cold. Well she is 23 years old, had 3 kids under the age of 6 and is single. She has no work, no family, nothing. We started to talk with her, and it turns out she is a member of the church. She started telling us about how much she has suffered but through everything she has been so grateful for what she has. We began talking about how God has a plan and that really he blesses us when we recognize his hand in our lives. Well we talked and talked and well it made me 100 times more grateful for the sacrifice that my parents have made for me, but also the sacrifice of Jesus Christ so that we can be here and we can be happy. We set up an appointment to return and teach her more the following day. When we went back there was nothing. The roof was gone, The door was gone, everything was gone. The house ceased to exist. I turned to my companion and we were all... ¨Was that real? Did that really happen?¨
Yes it did, i truly believe that the lord puts these people in our lives to teach us a lesson. A lesson of gratitude, humility, and most importantly love. I can honestly say that the love we have for others reflects the love that our savior has for us. I  am so grateful for the opportunity to be here in Argentina! I love you and miss you all! Be grateful for the little things!

Love,
Hermana Kraft
